Nicole and Megan were amazing to work with. Our new website far exceeds my expectations. The entire process was so easy. I gave them my vision and they ran with it and kept in perfect communication along the way. I can't say enough good things!

We eschew templates in favor of brand-centric design specific to your organization’s goals. Coding our websites with certain attributes puts them ahead of the pack: Proper SEO (search engine optimization) and GEO (generative engine optimization), mobile-friendly responsive design – even for less common screen sizes – and scalable structures that can grow with you and your organization. Too many creative agencies neglect some of these features, but we include them with all builds because they are necessary for your organization to be competitive on the web.
Why is this important? + Using open source (non-proprietary) code will allow you to change your hosting services, allow other developers to work on your website, and more easily rebuild your website in the future.
Why is this important? + Search engines like Google rely on properly structured and nested markup, including landmark roles, in order to understand your content and return your website in search results.
Why is this important? + Complete and thorough metadata that is rich with keywords that searchers acutally type in their search queries will help search engines return your website in search results, and will encourage searchers to click on your website when it is shown in search results.
Why is this important? + Your visitors are viewing your website on a multitude of devices with a varying screen sizes and ratios. Rather than force your website's layout into just two or three canned sizes as is often customary among developers, we custom code a complete set styles that will help your website's unique layout adapt to and look good on just about every screen size.
Why is this important? + A favicon, or site icon, is an adaptation of your actual logo that can serve as a 512-pixel app icon, a desktop icon, a favorites/bookmarks icon, or a tiny 16-pixel icon for the browser tab. A well-designed favicon helps your website visitors easily recognize your website's tab in their browser and helps solidify your brand in their minds.
Why is this important? + Many factors are involved in selecting a domain registrar, as well as the selection of the domains themselves. We can guide you to registrars that offer good service and affordable renewal rates, saving you research time and money. We can help you choose a domain, buy a domain, configure it properly, and ensure you are listed as the official owner of the domain so you retain control of it. We can also advise you on competitive advantage, usability, and SEO considerations when selecting a domain. We'll help you decide which top level domain(s) (like .com, .courses, .fitness, .organic, etc.) might best suit your organization, and how many you should claim to protect your brand.
Why is this important? + Choosing the right hosting company and hosting plan can be daunting when you don't know what you're actually shopping for. When selecting hosting, you'll want a web host with good customer service, the ability to easily migrate websites to and from their servers, minimal downtime, customizable hosting environments, decent speeds, and reasonable prices. We've been around long enough to know which hosts deliver on their promises and which do not. We can recommend hosting, configure your hosting and all associated records, or work with your exising hosting and domain. We can also set up subdomains, parked domains, and other configurations you might need.
Why is this important? + Third-party software (like online form software, event lists, course software, etc.) typically conflicts with your visual brand out-of-the-box. We ensure software we use (when we have the choice) can be customized to blend seamlessly with your website for a professional appearance and consistent brand messaging.
Why is this important? + Adding content and functionality to your website after its initial launch should not be a problem. We develop with efficiency and scalability in mind without compromising on design so that your website can grow with you over time.
Why is this important? + Your website is a first impression for much of your organization's audience. Its look, feel, and usability matter. Your website is also important as a conversion tool for second, third, or fourth impressions (like with ad re-targeting). We interview you and work with you to devise a custom design and marketing funnel that is right for your organization's unique goals.
Why is this important? + Providing you with prototypes, or design mockups, of one or more of your web pages will help you envision how visitors will actually use your website in the real world. Being able to see the design of your website before coding begins will keep you involved during every step of the process, which will enhance communication and save on coding revisions later on.
Why is this important? + Overseas labor may often be cheap, but it's often not inexpensive. Miscommunication, quality control, and security are all important reasons to be careful with overseas labor. U.S. consumer protection and contract laws are often unenforceable against foreign companies, even when they deliver shoddy and incomplete products. Malware and security are legitimate concerns when working with overseas web and SEO contractors. While we sometimes recommend and use vetted, respectable third-party software produced by overseas companies, we keep our website development, auditing, SEO, maintenance, and reporting services in-house to ensure your website is clean and properly coded.
Why is this important? + Lightweight code improves speed performance and client satisfaction. Slow websites, on the other hand, increase bounce rates (visitors leaving your website before it has finished loading), frustrate site visitors, and decrease performance in organic search results (with search engines like Google). Code bloat (unnecessary and repetitive code), which is common with website builders (Wix, Weebly, Squarespace, etc.) and WordPress themes like Elementor, Beaver Builder, and others, will discourage Google from traversing the website's content, leaving some of your content undiscoverable from search. We avoid these issues by building custom themes tailored to the needs of your website. We also compress code and images on the server for further efficiency.
Why is this important? + Most websites come with a 404 page, but styling and configuring it is another matter. We tell visitors why they have landed on a "page not found" page, and instruct them on how to find the content they are looking for to keep them from leaving the website.
Why is this important? + Many developers are undereducated on copyright and privacy policy. Our design background has given us the tools to source images, fonts, and software that come with licenses that are appropriate for your website's level and type of usage. While we are not attorneys, our expertise can help insulate your organization from copyright disputes.
Why is this important? + Without the crucial step of submitting your sitemap to search engines before the website is launched, Google could take up to six months to discover (and index) your website and its constituent pages.
Why is this important? + A Google Analytics account (and optionally, a Google Tag Manager account) will help us monitor your website's performace in various metrics. We will be able to track time on site, number of visitors, most popular pages and downloads, and much more. With additional setup and customization, we can create regular reports that track conversions and traffic over time to help you make adjustments to your marketing strategy.
Why is this important? + Purchasing at scale allows us to pass along savings to our clients. We use certain software, such as cookie detection software, form building software, and more, so often in our toolkits that we have purchased “developer licenses” for them at a discount.
Each website we build is made custom according to our clients' needs. Website projects often include much more than a website alone. For example, re-builds may require an audit of the existing website in order to locate areas for improvement, or maybe the website will be rolled out with an email marketing newsletter, or maybe some new photography is in order.
The guide that follows provides four lists of advanced features organized by feature type, along with a rough idea of project cost according to the number of pages and number of advanced features. It's possible your website may not fall exactly into any of the sample ranges. Because each project is unique, we'll provide you with a more detailed proposal after the initial consultation. Our proposals are individually tailored for your unique project to ensure you don’t overpay for services you won’t use.

Websites are like cars: they need regular maintenance and security, and to be repaired or replaced as they wear out or reach obsolescence due to technological advancements.
To keep your website secure, we offer two monthly maintenance plans for WordPress websites that include regular software updates and site monitoring to help protect your website against hackers and malware, as well as keep you apprised of performance issues so they can be fixed. You'll get a report every month detailing what we did for your website.
Beyond regular maintenance, we also continue to support our clients with troubleshooting, posting new website content, adding new functionality, or email marketing campaigns among many other services.
While we can build custom websites that our clients can maintain in-house with our training, we specialize in working with clients who trust us to maintain and support their website over the long term. We've supported some clients with design updates, newsletters, analytics reports, content posting, and more for over a decade. When you need a change to your website, you can trust us to get it done (and done right) so you can focus on other things.
